The Zamboni Zappa Hut is a property of the C.A.I. (club alpine italian) and it is situated at 2070 m under the fabolous Monte Rosa (4635 m) chain in the walser community of Macugnaga.
The hut offers a confortable accomodation in a coffee bar and in a restaurant with a beautiful terrasse facing the highest mountain. You can try the local and traditional food.
Several bedroom are provided with wash-basin, while the shower is in common.
Half or full pension are possibile.
The big meadow all around the hut is particularly suitable for children to play.
From the hut, with a walk you can reach an iced mountain lake and with a little luck you can see wild animals walking very close to you.
From the hut, as well, you can reach the glacier with his particularity, a continue moving and growing up towards the valley, during a period instead when all the other glaciers in Europe are retreating.

| How to reach us |
From the motorway towards Simplon Pass and Domodossola, way out Piedimulera-Macugnaga (15 km from the Maggiore Lake). To follow the indication to Macugnaga until the end of the way (30 km fom the way out Piedimulera).
You can leave the car in a big car parking just in front at the chairlift start.
At the end of the 2 chairlifts at 1900 m you start walking along the path through the glacier and in 45 min. you arrive at Zamboni Zappa hut.
